The analytical profiles of 11 methcathinone related compounds are described

This monograph presents brief analytical profiles of the piperazine derivatives found in “illicit” tablets and capsules in the UK. Not all the compounds listed have been found in products but are presented because they are positional isomers of those that have.

GC/MS data on a sample of 4-fluoroamphetamine

Five herbal smoking mixtures purchased from UK websites suspected to contain cannabinoid receptor agonists were analysed by LC/high resolution mass spectrometry using a ThermoFisher LTQ Orbitrap Discovery interfaced to a ThermoFisher Accela LC system.

GC/MS data are presented for betaketo derivatives of MDMA, MDEA and MBDB. These compounds are not controlled drugs in the UK.

GC/MS data are presented for three potent hallucinogenic amphetamines. One of them (DOC) has recently been found on a paper tab similar to those used for LSD. Certified rererence material is not available for this compound.

Historically, bupropion (amfebutamone) has been available in the U.S. as an antidepressant (Wellbutrin®). It is structurally unrelated to other antidepressants but has a therapeutic efficacy similar to tricyclic antidepressants. However, it has recently been prescribed in the U.K. as a smoking cessation adjunct (Zyban®). It is not prescribed in the U.K. as an antidepressant.
